Most visitors fly into Labuan Bajo, spend two days on Komodo, and fly home. That works — but Flores rewards those who go further. The island stretches 375 km from west to east, and every hour of driving reveals a different culture, landscape, and pace.

How to Choose Your Route

7 days: Fly Bali → Labuan Bajo. Two days on Komodo, one day to Ruteng (spider-web rice fields), one day to Bajawa (Bena village), two days to Kelimutu via Moni, fly home from Maumere. Fast but complete.

10 days: Same as above but with an extra day in Labuan Bajo and time for Wae Rebo. The sweet spot for most travelers.

14 days: Add Riung, a night in Ende, a morning at Kelimutu at sunrise, and Larantuka. End with a ferry east or flight from Maumere.
